GOSI invites private sector employees to check registration in the system

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) launched an awareness campaign in July entitled "Check Your Registration" to protect the rights of private sector employees. The campaign aims to highlight the importance of checking the status of employees’ registration in the system and verify that the wages are enrolled in the system correctly. This would avoid depriving the employees and their families of benefits and advantages that will be obtained upon registration. The campaign is designed to warn employers against the penalties and subsequent consequences in case of not registering their employees or not mentioning the accurate wage of the employee.
The spokesperson of GOSI, Mr. Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Abdul Jabbar, stated that GOSI strives to protect the rights of all its contributors, both Saudi and non-Saudi. He stressed the importance of checking their registration in the system and making sure that the wages are registered correctly on GOSI system.
Meanwhile, Mr. Al-Abdul Jabbar warned  the employers if they do not register  their employees in the system,  this would be regarded as a circumvention of the rules resulting in imposing financial penalties, in addition to depriving their employees of obtaining their fair due amounts in the future, or being adequately compensated for work injuries, or utilizing unemployment compensation "SANED", or death pensions for their family members. He added that these amounts will be calculated based on the registered wages.
He stressed that employers have to comply with the provisions of the insurance law and take the initiative to register all employees according to their correct wages.
