GOSI: Employer can modify contributory wage during the year

The General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) has allowed the employer to modify the wages of the Saudi and non-Saudi contributors who are under the age of 50 in case of any modification to their contributory wages during the year.
The Assistant Governor for Insurance Affairs, Mr. Nader Ibrahim Al-Wehibi, said that in order to meet the requirements of the employers and to cope up with changes applied to the wages, as well as to preserve the rights of the contributors by registering their wages liable to contribution to receiving the insurance benefits arising from these variables, GOSI allows the employer to modify the wage during the  months of insurance year by accessing the monthly wage update screen through the home page of the Employer's Online Insurance Account.
Al-Wehibi stated that the wage adjustment requires that the wages of the establishment have been updated at the beginning of the year. The employer can also adjust the wage more than once within the year for any contributor under the age of 50. For participants over the age of 50, the situation remains the same without any change.
