The General Organization for Social Insurance has unveiled a new service to add to the electronic services package offered to its customers. It recently launched the Wage Protection System that serves all private sector establishments.
On this service, the assistant governor of information technology Mr. Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Omran explained that the provision of this service came in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor in order to enable the owners of enterprises to create files "protection of wages." It is an ingenious electronic solution that facilitates the creation of "monthly wage" files on enterprises, especially small and medium enterprises, which often do not have an advanced financial system. They can prepare these files and submit them regularly to the Ministry. It also aims at facilitating the establishments to manage their financial accounts and protect the rights of the parties with the consolidation of work in all establishments according to a specific financial system.
He pointed out that one of the advantages of this system is matching the WPS process with the data of registered workers in the social insurance, resolving the different types of calendar and approving what is registered with GOSI. In addition to solving the difference in the number of registered workers between the Ministry of Labor and GOSI, for workers who cannot be added to the wage protection file.
As for the mechanism of benefiting from this service, Al-Omran explained that after entering the account of the establishment through GOSI online, click on (create a wage protection file) and then choose the branch of the establishment to create a file "protection of wages." Then enter the basic information of the establishment and then choose the type of calendar in accordance with what will be entered in the protection of wages at the Ministry of Labor and then choose the month and year to load the wages and then choose the file type "wage protection file" or "file adjustments.” Next click on "Next" to view all workers in the branch of the specific establishment that it can be modified or added to some of the Retrieved data finally, the file (download) is downloaded to download the "Wage File" on the browser and send it also via email.
At the end of his statement, Omran stressed that the Organization’s interest in its electronic services aims to facilitate its customers whether they are employers, contributors, or beneficiaries and perform the services according to the latest electronic methods.
It is worth noting that the portal allows employers to perform all activities including registration of the establishment and participants in GOSI, registration of contributors, change of wages and payment of their contributions, in addition to the audit of the institution's establishment and many other electronic services.
